The 2017 P&F Executive thank everyone that has volunteered time, attended meetings, provided input, liked Facebook posts, and generally had an interest in our community.

AGM
We recently held our AGM, and thanks to those that came and stepped forward to form the 2018 Executive or have taken on a subcommittee role. Many may not realise how much we put back to the school to improve resources and facilities, but in 2017 we have contributed over $84,000. This included $30,000 towards IT, and $25,000 for the landscaping. To provide this funding we rely on our whole community and we thank you!

We thank our out-going executive members Mark Fraser and Christian Whittaker your contribution over the past years to St Peter’s has been valuable.

Our new 2018 P&F Executive:
- President: Michael Smythe
- Vice President: Sarah Carnevale
- Treasurer: Alan Scanlon
- Secretary: Daniella Fraser

We also have filled the following subcommittee roles:
- School Banking: Sarah Carnevale
- Fete Convenor: Rebecca O’Brien
- Representative Sports Clothing: Ainsley Weldon

We are still looking for people to take on the following roles:
  • Works Committee Convenor (coordinate paddock maintenance and working bees)
  • Casserole Club: A great service to our school community helping families when they need a little hand by providing some meals. This role coordinates a team of volunteer parents on a roster to prepare an extra meal as required.

If you are interested in one of these roles please email the P&F executive on stpetersparentsandfriends@gmail.com

2018 Planning
We are preparing the 2018 calendar of P&F events, if you have any ideas of what we should include, other than our Fete in October, let us know!

Fete
Planning has started….. hard to believe, right? but we now have a convenor and we are forming a committee to meet early next year. If you are interested please let us know. Also, please note we need a class parent representative in every class next year to help coordinate the allocated years’ event, and convene the allocated fete stall. Think about if you might be interested, get together with a few friends, it is fun to volunteer, and a fete is a great way of meeting a lot of people.

2017 Community Christmas Donation
Each year the P&F donate to a charity $250 as a Christmas gift from our community. This year we have chosen to keep it local and donate to our local St Vincent de Paul Christmas appeal. This is our way of paying back to our community and help those that could do with some help at this time of year.

Goodbye Year 6
It always sad to say goodbye, but we wish our year sixes good luck for the future. We know we will see many of you back soon, especially at the fete. A great part of St Peter’s is many families are past students that returned with their children. We hope the time spent at St Peter’s encourages you all to return in future too. We also say good bye and thanks to the families that leave us this year, we thank you for your contribution to our great school.

P&F Meetings
Just so you don’t forget, P&F meetings are for anyone and everyone. Our first 2018 meeting is on 12th February 2018 from 7pm. We will provide wine, or a beer or soft drink for those that don’t want wine and cheese. Come along and be involved, make it a great place for our children to learn and achieve! Enjoy the Break

On behalf of the 2017 and 2018 P&F executive, I thank you for your support, I enjoy meeting many of you at events and seeing you around the school. We wish you and your families a safe Christmas, a joyful break, and we look forward to seeing you in 2018.

Michael Smythe, President
