Students were captivated by the Year 6 Science Show, exploring incredible energy transformations and discovering how energy can be converted into light, heat and sound. They also investigated the differences between physical and chemical changes through a range of fascinating experiments.
In the Energy & Electrical Circuits workshop, students became young engineers as they built electrical circuits using snap-together components. They created FM radios, connected bulbs in series and parallel circuits, investigated conductors and insulators, and explored how batteries work in different circuit configurations.
The incursion provided a fantastic opportunity for students to apply their scientific knowledge through inquiry, experimentation and discovery while having plenty of fun along the way. We loved seeing their curiosity, teamwork and enthusiasm shine throughout the day!
Take a look at some highlights from the Science Show and circuit-building activities!
